Public meeting

Approximately 20 people came to the public meeting of the Student Branch Klagenfurt to get to know the Branch, the people, and discuss about future events. The event was focused to breathe life into the newly formed Student Branch.

Students from computer science, applied mathematics, and information technology, as well as PhD students joined together in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss possible events and how to organize them. The Executive Committee briefly informed newcomers about the newly formed Student Branch: benefits for students, ways to contribute, and how to become active in the IEEE Student Branch. With drinks and snacks possible events were discussed and their organization was set in motion.

We thank all attendees for coming and their plenty and fruitful contributions. The Student Branch Klagenfurt starts breathing, made possible by the students at Klagenfurt University.

If you have ideas of your own, would like to become active in the Student Branch or just became curious and would like to have further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Advent Programming Contest 2012

An Advent calendar is a special calendar used to count or celebrate the days in anticipation of Christmas. Advent calendars typically begin on December 1 and provide a window to open until December 24. Usually they have windows, which you can open each day containing some chocolate or other stuff. But what is better to kill some time until Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Boxing Day, etc. than an Advent calendar giving you a programming problem every day?
